Scottish landscape, untitled watercolour

This signed image shows the rear of a group of cottages with a taller white chimney stack to the left in the background. The location is not known, although it may be the Dumfries or Kirkcudbright area. This painting was among items discovered during renovation of Jeffs home studio, the Yellow Door, High Street, Kirkcudbright in the 1990s. In 1989, when the property was sold, his family presented a large archive to Dumfries Museum.
