Scottish seascape, untitled oil painting

This unsigned image shows a seascape, the surf waves crashing onto the rocky shore. The location is not known, although it may be the shore near Kirkcudbright, or off the Isle of Arran. This painting was among items discovered during renovation of Jeffs home studio, the Yellow Door, High Street, Kirkcudbright in the 1990s. In 1989, when the property was sold, his family presented a large archive to Dumfries Museum.
