Rural scene, untitled watercolour

This unsigned image shows a rural courtyard scene.  The building on the right has arched steps over a doorway.  There is a woman in the foreground and a barn is visible in the distance.  The location is not known, although it may be Scottish or Continental.   This painting was among items discovered during renovation of Jeffs home studio, the Yellow Door, High Street, Kirkcudbright in the 1990s. In 1989, when the property was sold, his family presented a large archive to Dumfries Museum.
