A Scottish Piper
This is an example of the Scottish Highland Bagpipes, with three
drones that come out the top of the bag which produce a constant
sound. This is only one type of bagpipe out of approximately thirty
varieties of bagpipes. Materials used for the bags vary widely but
historically skins of local animals such as goats, dogs, sheep and
cows were used. In recent years the bags have been made out of
synthetic materials, including Gore-Tex, which has become more
common.
