Decorative finial in the form of a bird

This decorative finial was allocated to the Stewartry Museum by the Treasure Trove Advisory Panel.  It was found using a metal detector by Mr Philip Need.   Decorative finial in the form of a bird standng on a round base with wings held behind, close to tail.  A projection (possibly broken) from the base allowed the finial to be attached.
