Kite-shaped bronze pendant with a broken suspension loop.
The design comprises a diagonal cross with a red enamel background
and a rectangular panel above enclosed in a shield. There is
foliate decoration around the shield.
Pendants like this where used to decorate horse harness.
They often carry the heraldic devices of particular families or
individuals.
