Casket key

The hand-cut clefts suggest that the locksmith probably made a series of different keys fromthe same mould.  This key was found by a metal detector user at a deserted settlement site.   Casket key cast in one piece.  The stem has an oval profile and a projecting tip.  The wards consist of simple rectangles.  The clefts have been cut by hand and file marks still remain on parts of the key.
