Carved Stone

An unshaped boulder carved with an incised cross with a central hollow boss.  There are two smaller crosses on the body of the stone.   This stone, together with another cross-carved stone from Glaik near Leswalt, once marked an ancient route across the north Rhinns linking Broadsea Bay and Loch Ryan.  This may have been a pilgrims’ route to Whithorn.
