The Dean Castle arms and armour collection includes a varied range of body armour to protect soliders on the field of battle, or command the attention of the public during ceremonies and parades. Included below you will find a Hungarian and Milanese half suits of armour and a 17th century Polish belt.    Armoury for military animals is also represented in the collection by a horse's chamfron and a modern replica of armour for a man and horse positioned to illustrate the aggression and hostility of war.
