Decorated belt buckle
The shape and decoration are typical of buckles made and used in
Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Western Isles. The interlace
pattern is also found on many of the carved stones made at Whithorn
including the crosses of the so-called 'Whithorn School' of
carving.
