Teapot

Although the custom of drinking tea dates back over 4000 years ago in China, it was not until the mid 17th century that it first appeared in Britain.   This domestic blue glazed teapot has a high rounded body tapering to a narrow foot, and a pewter lid finished with an oak leaf.
