Calendar plate

This was a Christmas gift from John Luke Scott and Sons, Draper, of 6 Church Place, Dumfries, to their customers and suppliers. The white china plate has a design of holly and mistletoe at the top. Below, there is a square calendar for the year 1907, along with the inscription, 'With Compliments from John Luke Scott Draper Dumfries'. Dumfries and Galloway Standard reported on the 15th December 1906 that they had received a gift of a plate and jug.
