Decree of Disjunction and Erection Quoad Sacra of the New Church and Parish of Wanlockhead, and Certified Copy of Decree
Prior to this Decree, Wanlockhead was in the Parish of Sanquhar in
the Presbytery of Penpont, which caused great problems not least of
which was the necessity to carry the dead nine miles across the
hills for burial at St. Bride's Kirkyard, Sanquhar.
