Flamboyant blade cup hilt rapier

Up until the 18th century, swords were a part of the daily outfitting of gentlemen, when pistols began to supersede as a sidearm. As a fashion accessory, this rapier has both an impressive hilt and blade, with its undulating rivulets. The hilt has pierced elements with birds and plants as features, a wire-wrapped grip and a twisted, fig-shaped pommel with pommel nut.
