Wood grip left hand dagger

Description:

This German left hand dagger possesses a hilt composed of both silver-encrusted metal and dark-stained wood. It has a spherical pommel with a button. The metal of the pommel, quillons and finger loop are decorated with floral designs in low relief, while the plain wooden grip has a wire sailor's knot at its top and bottom.  The ricasso has raised outer edges, giving the appearance of two additional fullers alongside the fuller proper in the centre of the blade, which reaches two thirds of the way down down its length. Below the fuller, the blade is inscribed with a decorative flourish
