Caprington Castle, near Kilmarnock

The Cunninghames acquired the land on which Caprington Castle was built in 1425 and building of the castle was begun around that time. The building was remodelled some time after 1780 and then again in the 1830s but it has remained in the Cunninghame family throughout and up to the present day.
