Luce Sands
Four large flakes from polished stone axes. Flakes like
these are quite common on Luce Sands. They may be the waste
left behind from the reworking and sharpening of axes.
Alternatively they may result from the ritual destruction of
axes.
All these flakes are from axes made of volcanic tuff from the
English Lake District.
