Prehistoric finds, Genoch Sands
Genoch Sands
A mixed collection of prehistoric pottery and worked flints
including three Neolithic arrowheads, two Neolithic - Bronze Age
scrapers and three fragments of Bronze Age Beaker pottery.
These pieces were found by Mr H C Cook in the late 1930s.
He and his father - the Station Master at Dunragit - used to have
regular Sunday afternoon excursions to Genoch Sands in search of
prehistoric antiquities.
