Roman coin, Chapel Heron

Chapel Heron, Whithorn
A Roman copper coin known as a Sestertius dating from the reign of the Emperor Antoninus Pius (AD138-161).  The obverse of the coin has the bust of the emperor's wife Faustina and the legend DIVA FAUSTINA.   This is one of a small number of single Roman coin finds from Galloway.
