Past Presidents

The Presidents of the Dumfries and Galloway Antiquarian Society include several Knights amongst their number including naturalist Sir William Jardine and Sir James Chriton Browne, politicans such as the Right Hon. Earl of Lorburn, artist E A Hornel and a series of well known scholars from across the region. Amongst their portraits is an engraving of George Wilson by William Strang, a renowned Victorian painter and engraver.
