Ugandan embuutu
The embuutu is a Ugandan drum made from hide and hardwood, with
modern iterations being formed of pinewood. The percussion
instrument is part of the Ngoma family of drums that are used by
certain Bantu populations in Africa, however, it is generally
associated with the Baganda of Uganda. The embuutu is played with
the hands, which differentiates it from the larger namunjoloba,
which is played with drumsticks.
