Alto recorder
Ivory alto, or treble, recorder dating from around 1735. The
alto recorder is between a
soprano and a tenor recorder in both size and pitch. The
alto recorder is known for its sweet, mellow tone. Nowadays, they
are seen as a good instrument for adult beginners to learn as it
requires no special embouchure and it is simple to play a
melody.
