Folding harpsichord
The folding harpsichord, also known as a clavecin brisé (French
for 'broken harpsichord'), is a rare form the instrument
meant that was meant for travel and designed to sit on
top of a table. It has a limited range of 4 octaves and 1 note,
which make it well suited for more intimate spaces, such
as performing chamber music or for private music making. The
instrument is able to be folded into a rectangular bundle by
folding it along the longitudinal side of its sections.
