Page from a Mediaeval religious book, c15th century

The passages appear to be a commentary on the story of Aaron, the brother of Moses in the Old Testament. Commentaries were used by priests to prepare sermons and lectures.  Ordinary people would not have access to books like these.   The dark border to this page is the remains of glue from its use as a pastedown in a later book.  Pastedowns strengthen the card or leather cover of a book.   This page has annotations and corrections suggesting it was used by a priest or teacher when preparing sermons or lectures.
