The Closure of the Village School

This building was originally the Duke of Buccleuch School, which was built in the 1840s and which closed in 1976. Now, as Wanlockhead Community Centre, it provides accommodation for various Village functions including Village Council Meetings, children's playgroups, indoor bowls, whist drives etc.
