Prisoner's Moleskins

This is a rare and original set of clothing of the kind issued to prisoners at Kilmarnock Jail. It is made from moleskin and consists of trousers, a jacket and a waistcoat. The inside of the jacket features the arrow design that is so closely associated with convicts' clothing. Originally in the collection of Strathclyde Police.
