Baseball Cap - Annan Sailing Club

The Baseball Cap became very popular from the 1940s onward, and is now undoubtedly one of the most popular items of headwear. It's origins can be found in the US, and are a development of a series of hats worn by players of one of America's most popular sports. Early examples of the cap can be seen in 1860, worn by the New York team the Brooklyn Excelsiors. The version we are more familiar with today was developed in the 20th century, and is more rigid in form than it's 19th century predecessors.
