Sword with ivory fluted grip

This sabre demonstrates common characteristic of the type with its broad, curved, single-edged blade with single-handed grip. These kinds of swords were used mainly by cavalry regiments. The hilt features a squared-off fig-shaped pommel, ivory fluted grip, slightly upturned crossguard with the knuckleguard reaching upwards towards the sword's pommel and decorative stacked spheres on the knuckleguard and fingerloop.
