Scottish broadsword
Scottish broadswords such as this object have a wide, sweeping
attack that was used on the field of battle to slash opponents.
This 17th century broadsword is two-handed, which would
have allowed the sword to have been wielded with a lot of power.
The sword has a broad, double-edged blade with a single fuller. Its
hilt has upturned shell guards, counter curved quillons, an
uncovered tang and a cushion-shaped pommel.
