Bodkin

The rapier and dagger were not only for duelling and fighting with, they were also male fashion accessories, casting an image of honour based on social standing. Dagger scabbards often carried a set of smaller tools such as bodkins intended for use in hunting, eating and personal grooming. The word 'bodkin' was taken from a type of medieval arrowhead.
