Lobster-tailed Pot Helmet

The Lobster-tailed Pot Helmet is an example of an early modern combat helmet. The helmet was popular in Europe, especially from officers and cavalry.   Typical characteristics you will find in a Lobster-tailed Pot Helmet is a rounded skull-piece which was sometimes fluted. The protective plate that at the back of the head and neck of the helmet had a laminated defence (or a single-piece of plate ridged to imitate separate lames) that was said to resemble the tail of a lobster.
