Luce Sands

Luce Sands is an area which has been settled and inhabited since prehistoric times. It was here that some of the earliest habitations in the area are located, with the site offering a large selection of finds, from Neoloithic pottery to flint objects and scrapers to decorative objects such as the Jet Belt Slider, showing that those living here traded with areas such as Yorkshire and beyond. Given the wide geographical spred of the area compared to many other sites featured here, there have been many archaeological discoveries, as well as excavations. http://canmore.rcahms.gov.uk/en/site/212534/
