Musketballs
These lead balls were the type of bullet fired by the Muskets of the period. Many sizes of these balls were produced depending on the calibre of the gun barrel. When ammunition was in short supply soldier's often had to 'bite the bullet' which meant they would trim down a larger size ball to fit thhe barrel of their weapon. These irregular shaped balls had less of a range and often were very inaccurate.
