Middlebie Bit
Bronze horse bit from the Middlebie hoard.
The Middlebie hoard of late Iron Age chariot fittings was found
in a bog in the late 18th century, and subsequently donated to the
National Museums of Scotland, where it is now on display. Similar
fragments of bits, and terrets, have been found across the
region.
