Wheatcroft Farm, Crossmichael
A bronze terret from the Iron Age, found at Wheatcroft Farm, Crossmichael. Terrets held the guide reins for steering the horses pulling a chariot. Chariots were commonly used in warfare in the Iron Age, and were a mark of high status.
