Two rings

Durisdeer/Lochar Moss
The image for this object shows two Iron Age finger rings, both made from polished stone. The smaller, found near Durisdeer is composed of mottled jasper, while the larger jet black ring, found near Lochar Moss, is made from a combination of stone and lignite. Both objects were formally in the collection of Dr Grierson.
