Salmon mell (club), Milton Loch
A 'mell' is an old North British word for a club or hammer, and
was used in this instance for capturing Salmon. Once the fish had
been landed it would quickly be stunned and then killed with this
implement, which is made of wood and was found preserved in the
waters of Milton Loch.
