Sea Gate, Castle Haven
The 'Sea Gate' to the dun, which leads from the interior to the
low rocks surrounding a small bay. Its narrowness, overlooked by
high walls, would have made it easily defensible.
The dun was cleared of rubble and partly reconstructed in 1905
by James Brown of Knockbrex, and measures 18m by 11.5m within
c.5m thick walls; the outer court measuring twice as much.
