Fibula brooch
This brooch was found in a double ditched enclosure near
Carronbridge, Morton. This site was near a Roman temporary
camp.
The object is either an ornate bronze fibula or trumpet brooch
fragment, the main body or bow is very decorative with ridge detail
and relief bead designs. There is a loop at back for securing a
pin. Most of the hinge and top of the pin remains, although
corroded.
