Antler harpoon
Mesolithic Harpoon Head or Pointed Barb
Made from the Red Deer antler and of a similar type to those
found in Mesolithic caves or rock shelters near Oban. This example
was found in 1895 in the River Dee opposite Cumstoun. It has been
carbon dated to around 4500BC.
