Creamware teabowl with painted decoration

This crockery came from the home of John Paul Jones (1747-1792) at 19 Rue de Tournon, Paris, where he lived in relative obscurity for the final years of his life.   Creamware was an inexpensive earthenware pottery for everyday use.
