Silver Testoon, Mary I, Queen of Scots

A silver coin known as a Testoon, identified as a testoon of the first period of her coinage, type III dated to 1556.   A silver coin, with the crowned Scottish standard on the obverse and a cross pattern on the reverse.  This side has also been counter stamped with a thistle.
