Dressing box
This dressing box belonged to Sir John Ross. It has a hinged lid with brass straps and handles. Held in the box are two glass dishes and four bottles all with decorated silver lids. A seal for the British Consulate, Stockholm is also held in the box. Sir John Ross was Great Britain’s Consul in Stockholm, Sweden between 1839 and 1846.
