Roof slate, Inch Crindl

Inch Crindl, Lochinch, Inch
Square roof tile with a roughly pecked off-centre oval perforation. Probably produced at a local slate quarry or stone source such as Cairnryan or Grennan near Drummore.   There is a tradition that the earliest Church of Inch was on the island of Inch Crindl in the White Loch.
