Glenluce Abbey
Fragment from a glazed floor tile from Glenluce Abbey. The impressed decoration shows four horsemen. The tile probably dates from the 13th century.   Glenluce Abbey was founded in 1192 by Roland, Earl of Galloway. Glenluce was a Cistercian Abbey and was visited by a number of  Scottish monarchs travelling to St Ninian's Shrine at Whithorn.
