Annual subscriber's ticket for Kilmarnock Observatory, 1862

This object is a subscriber's ticket to Kilmarnock Observatory at Morton Place for 1855 to 1856 for William Thomson. The ticket cost 5s and no admittance was allowed on Sundays. The observatory was built in 1818 by Thomas Morton. The seventy foot high square tower was demolished in 1957.
