White crochet gloves

Pair of white crochet gloves. Gloves have been worn by people for thousands of years. Since the 14th century, gloves have been a popular fashion choice for all genders, but particularly for women. In the Victorian and Edwardian era, the material and fit of gloves denote social status in the public realm, and they became important objects that hinted towards the wearer's wealth. Gloves like these would have been worn in the Spring and Summer months. Nowadays, however, they are less common for everyday wear, and people only tend to wear gloves in cold weather rather than all year round as a fashion accessory.
