Ladies collar
Collars and chemisettes were popular additions to the day dress of the 1850s-60s. They were made of cambric, muslin, lace and net and could be highly embroidered.
This collar is embroidered with a round flower design. It was attached to the dress with hooks and eyes so was interchangeable with other dresses.
