Decorative hair combs

Commonly worn by Victorian women hair combs were often made of tortoiseshell, bone, ivory and silver.  Combs of black jet were fashioned for mourning dress.    This pair of tortoiseshell hair combs is inlaid with 19 diamante decorations.
