Glove in the Pheasant's Eye Pattern, "JCB" at wrist

Example of a Sanquhar pattern glove in yellow and brown wool to illustrate the "Pheasant's Eye" design. This pattern is also found in Yorkshire knitting, and derives from weaving where bird's eye checks are traditional.  The glove has the initials "JCB" knitted into the wristband.
